The Welcome Centre is the place to go for international academics, researchers, scientists and other university-related professionals who seek advice, support and services regarding their visit to Ruhr-Universität Bochum.
We offer support and advice to international researchers who are planning to spend a research stay at Ruhr-Universität and to their hosts and faculties at Ruhr-Universität.
We are looking forward to assisting you with your preparation for your trip as well as supporting you during your stay in Bochum. Here you can find information, recommendations and support regarding specific topics and areas that are relevant for your visit to Bochum, including residence and work formalities, as well as helpful hints for a smooth social integration.
Registration
All researchers who come to Ruhr-Universität Bochum from abroad should register at the Researchers' Database as early as possible - ideally prior to their arrival in Bochum. As soon as you have registered online, you and your accompanying family members can personally take advantage of the services and information the Welcome Centre provides for RUB international guest researchers.
