Support and advice from the International Office
Studying in a foreign country and in a different culture can be a challenge. You have to deal with a new language, bureaucracy, formalities, and unfamiliar social and university structures. The International Office provides support in many areas that are not so closely connected to your studies at first glance, but you can only study successfully if you feel comfortable and settled in.
We are here whenever you feel you need support in any academic or personal matter. In many cases we are able to help quickly in a non-bureaucratic manner. Before you get caught up in your problems and start thinking about leaving, please make use of our support: write an email, call, visit during our office hours, or make an appointment.
If you need support in dealing with the authorities or governmental agencies, or if you are looking to get in touch with other (international) students, you can also contact Ms Sarah-Amelie Stücken, who is in charge of international student services. She can put you in contact with intercultural tutors or international student societies at RUB.
