National Code of Conduct for German Universities Regarding International Students

The Ruhr-Universität Bochum has committed itself to the National Code of Conduct for German Universities regarding International Students of the German Rectors’ Conference (HRK).
The Code of Conduct aims at ensuring and further improving the quality of support and advice for international students. Ruhr-Universität Bochum already meets a large part of the defined quality standards and is continuously striving to optimise its services for foreign students.
Its guiding principle is to grant international students the same rights as German and other EU students with equal legal status and, in addition, to provide them with the support they particularly need as foreign students in order to find their way around in everyday life and in their studies in a foreign country.
If you have any suggestions, commendations or criticism regarding the compliance with resp. implementation of the Code of Conduct, we are looking forward to your message, either to or specifically to one of the two contact persons who have made themselves available for this function and have been named by the Rectorate.
