The International Office and the Offices of Deutsch als Fremdsprache (DaF) offer the Integra-24 programme. Participants who have successfully completed the Integra-12 programme are welcome to join Integra-24’s intensive German course and academic preparatory programme.

Participation Requirements

Participation is reserved for prospective refugee students who have obtained their university entrance certificate (Hochschulzugangsberechtigung) either in Germany or in their home country and have successfully participated in the Integra-12 programme.

Applications are not possible.

Courses and other Events

German courses start in the beginning of the semester and meet every day. Courses are led by DaF qualified teachers.

24 hours/week in total:

  • Intensive German course (20 h/week)
  • Preparatory programme (4 h/week)

German Language Course

German courses are led by a DaF qualified teaching staff and are for advanced language learners.

Propaedeutic Programme

The propaedeutic portion of the project includes various events for beginner as well as advanced German speakers; information events, outings, lectures and preparatory and intercultural workshops. Participation is mandatory.

Guest Student or Language Course Student Enrolment

Integra-24 participants can enrol at RUB as a guest student (NRW Ticket not included) or as a language course student (NRW Ticket included). Guest students must pay a 100 € course fee. Language course students must pay the full social contribution fee (326 €).

Crisis Intervention

RUB‘s Centre for Psychotherapy offers psychological services for refugees who have suffered from trauma.
