Preparatory Courses for Refugees
RUB offers special preparatory courses for refugees qualified to study. A German language course and a propaedeutic programme make up these courses. While some courses (Integra-12) are led by volunteers and meet 12 h/week, other intensive courses, (Integra-24) meet 24 h/week. To participate in the Integra-24 course, you must first successfully complete the Integra-12 programme.
The Integra-12 courses are led by a volunteer teaching staff and meet 12 h/week (German language courses and propaedeutic programme). These courses are especially for beginner German learners (A1-A2). All courses are free of charge.
The intensive Integra-24 courses meet 24 h/week and are made up of a German language course provided by Deutsch als Fremdsprache (DaF) and a propaedeutic programme especially designed for prospective students. These courses start at A2 and require a copayment.
Each Integra-12 and Integra-24 course is complemented with a propaedeutic programme, which helps prospective students prepare for their academic aims. The programme comprises about 4 h/week.
