30 Years ERASMUS

30 Years ERASMUS at RUB

In 1987, 30 years ago, the ERASMUS program was founded. From the beginning, Ruhr-Universität Bochum has taken part and can now call 270 universities ERASMUS partners. Thereby, ERASMUS is the largest program for exchange stays abroad.

Currently, approximately 220 RUB students are studying abroad with ERASMUS. Conversely, there are approximately 160 international students from our various ERASMUS partner universities attending RUB. That means there are a total of about 500 outgoing and 300 incoming participating ERASMUS students yearly!

Apart from the International Office the ERASMUS program at RUB is carried out by the ERASMUS Departmental Coordinators of the 20 faculties - A big proper thank you at this point!

To celebrate this anniversary with you, the International Office is organizing a wide range of ERASMUS themed events. On our website, Facebook and on posters and flyers, we will regularly inform you about the upcoming dates.

We are also looking forward to your participation in some of the events of 30 years ERASMUS! Your ERASMUS stay has changed your life? Then tell us your story. Or are you more enthusiastic about the culinary world? We are looking for 30 different dishes from the ERASMUS countries. An intercultural cookbook is to be created by and for students of all ERASMUS countries.

Here you can find all information about 30 years ERASMUS at RUB.
