GERMAN AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE (DaF)

student learning at the RUB

The department of German as a Foreign Language, otherwise known as DaF, is part of Ruhr-Universität Bochum (RUB). DaF courses are addressed to different target groups such as students or researchers. You can participate in preparatory courses when you arrive in Germany to prepare you for your stay, and you also have the opportunity to attend courses during term-time to further improve your German language skills. The courses offered by the German as a Foreign Language department prepare you for your “TestDaF” which is a language proficiency test. If passed, this test qualifies you to study at a university in Germany.
The department of German as a Foreign Language is located near the U35 metro station “Wasserstraße“.
